SFB2015 Server- contacts not getting updated RRS feed

  • Hi team,

    I have created SFB15 standard Server without Edge server as we need to use it for internal IM. but there is one problem we are facing. whenver user tried to search for any contacts internally, he need to mention full email id into the search option. we tried to make some changes in GAL resolution but failed to do so.

    Please help me out how to resolve this.

  • The local address book for SFB, Galcontacts.db will be downloaded from the SFB FE server. It could take up to 1 hour ist the client is stared the first time.

    If you have problem with the download, you can change the address book search to websearch only through the clientpolicy  to AddressBookAvailability Websearchonly

    But is it resolution for single system, because this problem is in every system that we have. so i feel it is issue related to server. is there any doc to resolve this.

  • Hm, serious, I would think it is certificate related. Normal, the address book will be genarated as galcontacts,db through the webservice of the FE server.

    You should find this file on the %localappdata%\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\sip address

    Maybe some problems with the revocationlist of the PKI? You can also try to set the IE not to verify disabled certificates.
