Project Plan Access Help RRS feed

  • Hi

I have a set of project plans in which there are summary tasks containing tasks.

Is there a way to make it so people can only see certain summary tasks and what is under them? (not a filtered view, more security related or similar)

No, it is not possible to set task level security in Project views in PWA.  The only way to accomplish this would be using a filtered view that is accessible only to certain users that you have added to a custom Group and Category.  Hope this helps.

  • Hi

Thanks for the answer, what about in Project Professional? When publishing we only want certain people to see their respective 'sections'

Some people (more senior) will want to see the whole project.

No, it is not possible to set task level security at all in Microsoft Project.  Hope this helps.
