Outlook 2010 : Doesn't remember e-mail addresses after reboot. RRS feed

  • Question

  • This problem is kinda relevant to other problems but still stands out to the rest.

    1. I have 2/36 clients using Outlook 2010 with this problem.

    2. They want Outlook to remember e-mail addresses as soon a letter or two is typed in the "send to" box, but it doesn't for some reason.

    3. I've followed a tutorial online by Microsoft which explains how to restart the RoamCache (by disabling it in Outlook Settings -> renaming it to something like "RoamCache_OLD" -> restarting OutLook -> Enable Cache).

    4. What I mentioned (step 3) works at first, you can send a message and it will remember the sender. But after a reboot of the computer the problem still occurs and it doesn't remember any E-Mail addresses anymore. What can cause this issue and how do I solve it?

    Great regards, Maxim.

  • Could you please confirm whether you can find .nk2 file in the  %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook folder. If yes, rename all *.nk2 files at this location and restart the Outlook.
