Call Park Music on hold RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey.

I am having a Problem with the Music on hold in the Call Park. EnableMusicOnHold is set to True. But there is no music playing when we put a call in call park. But there is music when a call is placed on hold via the client and via a response group.

I have tried to upload new music with Set-CsCallParkServiceMusicOnHoldFile with no luck. And I have tried to reset the Call Park to default with no luck.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi Svava,

There is another solution from dodeitte. Have a check, and hope helps.

  •  Hi.

I found out that my SIP trunk Provider is blocking the music, for a unknown reason.

If we make the call internal then it works. So all is fine in Lync

  • I have done those steps, with no luck.

I tried to delete the Call Park and start again with no luck.

  • Just FYI:

Svava specifically mentioned problems with Music on Hold when doing Call Park. Not Holding calls, but Call park.
That solution you provided is for holding calls only.

Difference betweeken parked and held calls is that held calls can only be retrieved by the Lync client that held it. There's still a connection to the Lync client.
While the call is parked, if there's any music, it will be played by the Lync client.

Parked calls are kept in a pool on the Lync server; parked calls can be retrieved from other clients as well.

And BTW I have the same problem :-)
Will be investigating the SIP trunk provider as well....
