  • Third party migration tool.

That's a 13 year jump in technology, like going from a time when phones had a monochrome display and Snake was cutting edge to a modern smartphone.

At that point you should be looking at re-building from scratch and maybe keeping some of the content.

  • As Alex said, this would be an extreme experience to get. you will need to perform a 4 stage level migration if you perform this manually. a tool will make it easy and better for you but yet you can have a look at this informative article shows 2.0 - 2013 path very well and when you are in 2013 means its just one more level to go.

  • Hi Ricketta Warner,

The changes between versions are too great, and the hardware requirements differ so much between versions that a direct, in-place upgrade is not possible or supported.

You can, however, perform a series of database attach upgrades to first upgrade your content one by one.

So, above suggestions are suitable. Third party migration tool should support upgrading directly.

Sharegate should support 2016 very soon.

    Best Regards,

    CY
