Quick access to extended keystrokes in Windows 7? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm just wondering if there are any Windows programs out there that provide quick access to extended keystrokes. I don't need a virtual keyboard.

There are several extended characters that I use occasionally, but can never remember the ALT codes for. Some examples are the cent symbol ¢, degree symbol °, etc.

I'd like to be able to click an app in the system tray (or other quick method) and have a box showing the special characters that I want. When I click on one the box goes away and that character gets typed wherever I was before I clicked the tray app.

I have tried a few searches in Google, but haven't found any relevant hits, so I'm asking here.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi,

Have you tried with the special characters and Character Map? See if it could help:
