Active Directory Job Grade RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am looking to put user grades into Active Directory i.e. M1, T4.  I would naturally put them into EmployeeType but that is being used for something else.  I wanted to ask what attribute everyone else users or if there is an obvious choice.  tbh there is a number of places it could go but wondered what other pros use.

    Thanks

PS - 'Title' is already used.

  • Why not add a custom attribute to the schema specifically for this?

  • Extension attributes come with exchange 2007/2010, when I am in a hurry I usually use the wbem attribute in AD, never given me any problems, we also sometimes use the description attribute as well. But as Brian suggested the best option is to add an attribute in AD but that I guess requires some technical expertise with AD so should be done by a person who knows AD well
