Can I uninstall SCCM 2007 now that SCCM 2012 is installed and running? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I figured I could, but when I started it, I saw that one of the steps was to clean up AD objects related to System Center, well aren't those same objects used for SCCM 2012 (current branch) I stopped the uninstall process when I saw this. Anyone know for sure?

  • It depends, there should still be leftovers in the "System\System Management" Container and some Service Locators in DNS. You can easily identify them by the old Site Code.

If you're going to uninstall / turn off the old Environment, you should cleanup those as well.

  • It will only clean up the objects that it created. You can this manually as well though.
