  • So I guess it isn't really functional on Server 2012 then? How about 2008 R2? Have you tried the beta? http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34607

  • Thanks, I think I'll just roll back to 2008 R2 then.

  • I am having the same problem. I have DPM 2012 installed on server 2012. On this installation we have the problem. We have another DPM 2012 on server 2008 R2 installed with no problem. If anybody should come up with a solution, I'd be very happy.

I have got the following error

  • I downloaded system center 2012 SP1 BETA version on test system and it resolve this problem.

it is not suggested to put SP1 BETA version on Production.

  • Sorry to jump in but we too also have the same problem. It's extremely frustrating!

For evaluation purposes we built a virtual Win2012 server running DPM 2012 and successfully protected our production servers for 3 weeks solid. Satisfied that everything was working well we decommissioned our test VM and setup two new physical Windows 2012 servers and installed DPM 2012 on both (one for primary and the other as a secondary). We quickly got these up and running, however, two weeks in production our primary DPM server now suffers from the MMC crash when selecting the Protection or Recovery TAB. Our secondary DPM server still seems fine.

Does anyone know when SC SP1 is due for release? If we're talking weeks we can put up with this bug/problem, however, if it’s going to be months we'll have to start from scratch and rebuild using Win2008 R2!
