Password Authenticated for Test User RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently use Windows Authentication for MSPS 2010 Access.   QUESTION:  Is there a way for me to create a test user that is Password Authenticated?   I'd like to be able to sign on as a Project Manager to perform some permissions testing (without annoying my PM staff).      In the past, there used to be an option when adding a resource to the ERP indicating the user is windows authenticated - but I cannot locate this in MSPS 2010.   Any ideas?

     Thanks!  ~RK

  • Yes you can but not exactly the same way.

Create local user on Project Application server and add the user manually in PWA. While adding user in PWA, enter user authentication as servername\user name

When you try to login use same format to connect PWA
