while microsoft outlook setup running find HRESULT:0x80070422


  • Dear while installing the microsoft outlook setup i am facing a error and it is exact like" the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. (Exception from HRESULT:0x80070422).

    any one can guide me to solve this problem.?

  • Hi,

    We may try to stop and then restart the “Windows Installer” service and then try to install Outlook again. To do this, please follow:

    1. Click on Start-Run, type services.msc, the click on OK. 

    2. When the Services window loads, navigate to the “Windows Installer “service, then double click on it to open it.

    3. Stop the service and then restart it, make sure the "Startup Type" says "Automatic" and started. If it doesn't, use the drop down menu to change it.
