Akamai Download Manager and Proxy Authentication

Question
-
This involves not being able to download software from Microsoft that uses the Akamai Download Manager. We use a proxy and the download manager doesn’t seem to be compliant with it.
Our proxies supports the following standards:
• HTTP proxy compatibility
• SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 proxy compatibility
• FTP proxy compatibility using Checkpoint FW-1 style authentication format.
NOTE: Our proxy requires authentication, so the program must support it as well.

We are trying to download products from:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/evalcenter
Is there anyway we can get a direct download or use a different download manager?
If I need to post this to a different forum, please direct me.

Akamai will not work with me to solve the issue unless the issue is escalated through Microsoft, since our company doesn't have an account with them. Please advise.Thursday, November 29, 2012 4:22 PM
