latest service pack RRS feed

  • Question

  • What are the latest service packs available for SQL server 2005 and SQL server 2008 and from where I can download them.  I ran in to several different websites when I search for the same on the net.

  • What you saw is CTP(Community Technology Preview). This can be used for testing and passing on your feedbacks to product team.

CTP's are not for production use.

    Thank you,

  • Thats confusing, In the overview it says "SQL Server 2008 SP3 CTP contains the cumulative updates up to SQL Server 2008 SP2 cumulative update package 1 to SQL Server 2008 SP3 CTP contains the cumulative updates up to SQL Server 2008 SP2 cumulative update package 1 to " . I installed this SP  to fix the issue of not being  able to open the SQL server configutation manager. I was getting WMI provider error. And it dint work.  I guess  I need to instal SP2 now.

    Thanks Anup for the info.
