What are the latest service packs available for SQL server 2005 and SQL server 2008 and from where I can download them. I ran in to several different websites when I search for the same on the net.

What you saw is CTP(Community Technology Preview). This can be used for testing and passing on your feedbacks to product team.
CTP's are not for production use.
Thank you,

Thats confusing, In the overview it says "SQL Server 2008 SP3 CTP contains the cumulative updates up to SQL Server 2008 SP2 cumulative update package 1 to SQL Server 2008 SP3 CTP contains the cumulative updates up to SQL Server 2008 SP2 cumulative update package 1 to " . I installed this SP to fix the issue of not being able to open the SQL server configutation manager. I was getting WMI provider error. And it dint work. I guess I need to instal SP2 now.
Thanks Anup for the info.
