  • Hi james redpath,

Have you checked if these messages also disappear on the web mail?

What’s your account type? Exchange, POP or IMAP?

We can search in All Outlook Items to see if it was moved to another folder.

Sometimes, a corrupted view setting will make your email invisible. To fix this, please start Outlook with /cleanviews switch to reset view settings. Press Win key + R to open the Run command, type outlook.exe /cleanviews, press Enter.

Besides, another common cause is that your messages are archived automatically. Please go to File > Options > Advanced > AutoArchive settings. Check if it set correctly.

If the suggestion above doesn’t help, in case there was something wrong with your data file, we can repair data file. Reference: Repair Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost)

Any updates, please feel free to post back.

    Regards,

    Perry

  • Hello,

MS Outlook does not delete anything (emails and attachments), unless and until there is a created rule in it.

So if your emails are getting removed or deleted from your account; most probably it will be related to some Outlook settings. Try the solution or methods suggested by the moderator Perry Pan.

Still, the issues are persisting, go through the following blog which discusses ‘Solution for Outlook automatically deleting emails’. Refer: https://www.systoolsgroup.com/updates/outlook-2016-automatically-deleting-emails/

    Bruce
