Files Keep Reverting After Reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and all was fine until I tried to install a DiVX Codec that must've been corrupted. After that my PC would phantom 98% of my physical memory. I used system restore to a week earlier, and ever since whenever I start my computer, random configuration files have been altered. For instance, my saved passwords for FireFox, my Video configuration for CoD:MW2, and other files that I saved over previously; which are reverting back to their old state after I reboot. (Or shut down and turn on. Not just restart.)
This is being quite pesky since I have a really long really complex password for one of my Usernames, and it deleted the password... it also keeps reverting my settings for my game, so I have to change them every few times I reboot my PC.
