Windows live Messenger annoyance in Win7 (RTM/Final release) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone else noticed that for some odd reason, when you have Windows live Messenger running in 7, you get 2 seperate applications showing in the Taskbar??
Its annoying, its not a major thing, but its bugging me!!

  • Yes, that is by design.  It creates one Window that runs to provide status/notification/menus and the second is the actual contacts list.  You'll notice that if you close the list of your contacts, there will only be one entry left in the bar, which you can then click to open the contacts list later while remaining signed in.
