    Hello, trying to sequence Asta Power project. All seems to sequence ok, on launch on my client though I see:

    The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)

    Eventvwr log:

    The virtual application 'C:\ProgramData\App-V\AACE7954-7F9F-4DDB-9EC0-024C1A75E948\80FB36CF-A08E-4421-B69E-FC76E791D332\Root\VFS\ProgramFilesX86\Asta\Asta Powerproject\Powerdraw.exe' could not be started because the App-V Subsystem 'Virtual Filesystem' could not be initialized. {error: 0x74300E0A-0x20006}

    I've seen articles talking about NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation, this is set to a value of 2 on both the sequencer and client.

    The software talks to a license server but I have ran process mon and cannot see any access denied errors.

    Running app-v 5.1 sequencer, clients are 5.1 hotfix4 and 5.2

    Have you tried launching the shortcut inside the virtual bubble? Have you tested with some other virtual packages, whether they are working fine?

    Hi, yes trying to launch the application inside C:\programdata\appv\etc gives me the same result. Other apps are working ok.

    I meant to open up the virtual bubble of the application and then try to launch the shortcut.Or use CMD as middleman to launch the shortcut.

    eg:

    cmd.exe /appvve:ProductID_VersionID (of the virtual package)

    and then open the shortcut inside this cmd.

    Hi, I tried this command:

     cmd.exe /appvve:AACE7954-7F9F-4DDB-9EC0-024C1A75E948_80FB36CF-A08E-4421-B69E-FC76E791D332

    It returns the same error, the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142).

    Did you remove and add the package again after you changed the 8dot3 regkey?

    Hello, I've tried installing to a PVAD and I get the same result.

    I did not need to change the 8dot3key, it was set to a value of 2 already.

    Did you also enable it on your sequencer prior on creating the package?

    Hello, no I've not been able to resolve this. In response to the last question, the 8dot3key is set on the sequencer and my client.

    Sorry I'm not able to make this available to you because it requires a license server. The version I was trying to sequence was 14.0.01.128.
