Steps to trouble shoot rule problems RRS feed

  • I've created a monitor that tracks data from a custom performance counter. However, the monitor fails with an Event ID 1102 on the agent machine:

    Rule/Monitor "<long ID>" running for instance "<Instancename>" with id: "{<shorter ID>}" cannot be initialized and will not be loaded. Management group "<groupname>"

    Are there logs or other ways to glean infomration about how to deal with this problem?

    Hi Rory,

    Please re-install the agent to  resolve the issue.

    It's most likely an agent dll that it isn't registered properly. please delete this agent from the SCE console first, then re-deploy the agent to this client
