Internet Explorer 9 on Win 7 64 + KB2964358

Hi, looks like there is a problem with KB2964358 and Internet Explorer 9 on Win 7 64 bits.

When trying to open web sites, IE ask if we want to save the page (default.htm). We are unable to open web site (including http internal application)

I saw this kb : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2964358

I'm asking myself why Microsoft doesn't revise this update to put KB2936068 as a prerequisite for KB2964358 ?

That's right. Microsoft has released a new update (KB2953522) that supersede KB2964358.

KB2953522 doesn't apply to Windows XP :-(

Hi,

I noticed that security update 2929437 is required in order to install kb2964358. Make sure you have it installed.

If the issue is widely impacted, I guess there will be action.

After all, this is a WSUS forum, it not a properly place to discuss such a question.

That's right. Microsoft has released a new update (KB2953522) that supersede KB2964358.

KB2953522 doesn't apply to Windows XP :-(
