\Device\Harddisk0\DR0 event id 7 RRS feed

  • We have a problem with system event  the error message The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block. Event id 7.

    Its windows server 2008

    the message starts at 23:00 till 01:00 that`s is every day we changed the hard drives with new drives and also used chkds with chkds we could not find any errors does any have more ideas how to solve the problem.

    This error also can caused by the legacy storage driver or firmware or please confirm you scan an correct disk, we suggest you perform the following action.

    1) Make sure you have a good backup.

    2) CHKDSK /f /r and see if that resolves.

    3) Run Hardware diags to see if it reports anything with a physical disk.

    4) Involve Hardware vendor as needed.

    5. upgraded HBA firmware.

    The related hotfix.

    Backups fail and Event ID 12293 is logged on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008
