  • You can use FIM services where you have your Mail box on the cloud or On Premise. if you are using mail box in Azure environment There is Azure Active Directory Connector  available at Microsoft Download Center which you can use it.

    If you are connecting O365 - Mails box (Outlook online) You should use AAD Connect to provision users to O365.

    Hope this helps!

  • We have AAD connector in place. What would be the mail server settings value be if the mailbox is on cloud for a hybrid environment? I just looked at another thread that says service account oncloud mailbox is not supported. I am not sure if there is any update to that yet.

  • You can use mail.office365.com as a server value. As long as you are up-to-date with MIM rollups, full support for service accounts in O365 is there.

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

    First migrate your MIM service mailbox to Azure.

    Then reinstall the MIM Portal and select the 'Use Exchange Online' option.

    make sure the Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service.exe.config file is configured as follows:

    <add key="mailServer" value="https://outlook.office365.com/ews/exchange.asmx" />

    Cheers
