Good day all,
I have a fairly new machine with windows 7 pro x64 installed. I have office 2013 installed as well.
I have a sbs 2008 server running sharepoint 2007.
On this machine alone i am getting the error "a problem with this webpage has caused internet explorer to close and reopen the tab" any time i try to access http://companyweb/ in Ie 11 on this pc.. i have cleared caches.. updated java.. i have even uninstalled and reinstalled IE 11... and the error keeps coming up. I have even tried compatibility view and i get the same error.
I am able to browse other sites.. just not companyweb ... i have about 15 more windows 7 machines all upto date like this one and they dont have problems access company web.. I am out of ideas.
Any suggestions ?
With Jah Jah anything is possible

Hi,
"a problem with this webpage has caused internet explorer to close and reopen the tab"
"I am able to browse other sites.. just not companyweb"
File>Properties which IE Security zone does companyweb map to? expected intranet
ensure tools>Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default"
.... ensuring the above settings.. if stil no joy... disable Browser Helper Extensions (Toolbars and BHO's) from the Advanced tab of Internet Options>uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions"
close all open IE instances and restart IE for the full changes to take effect...
If the above works then one of your intalled toolbars or Browser Helper addons is incompatible. You can check the toolbar vendors website for updates for their software, but I would recommend that you leave them disabled.
lastly.... tools>compatibility view settings>check "display intranet sites in compatibility view"
and
Tools>Manage Addons>Show all addons> ensure all addons from Microsoft are enabled.

What is the "problem with this webpage"? Any clues in the Developer Tools, Console tab? FWIW I would run ProcMon to find and supplement whatever other diagnostics are being generated.
The only immediate thought I had about your scenario is wondering if there was Enhanced protection in effect due to server lock down. E.g. perhaps you would have different results if you used one of the "make my server into a work station" mods. <eg>
Also Compatibility view implies IE7 Quirks mode emulation which may be too old, so trying a different emulation using either the Developer Tools or Enterprise mode would probably be better things to test.

Hello Dr_dre,Have you tried the solution as MVP Rob and Robert Aldwinckle mentioned?
Additionally, we could run the command java –version to check if we have different versions between the normal and abnormal computers.
If they have the different versions, please install the right version in the one single abnormal computer and check if this issue still exist.
