how to prompt password entry for kids account? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    in windows 10 I have created 3 accounts: mine and the ones of my kids.

    The kids account are part of my family.

    How I can change kid's account setting so when they want to enter in their account system not to require a password.

  • Remove the existing passwords on the accounts. Then they only have to type in their username and leave the password blank.

    I take this is a professional edition of Windows. Go to Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups > Users and right click on each user. Set a new blank password.

    If the kid account is Microsoft account, it must use password login the PC.

    If you want an account without password, you could create a local account for them.
