TPM is a chip on the motherboard of your computer, it stores certain information using BitLocker to keep your hard drive more security by allowing it to only work with that specific computer, once encrypted. TPM has to be turned on in the BIOS for Windows
to be able to use it at all, my guess is it's off and Windows can't find it to use it. You need to check the BIOS, it is sometimes listed as "security options" or "security device" or "Trusted Platform Module" (TPM)...
