Authentication to IAG/UAG RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

We have IAG configured and is working fine. Across the enterprise, we have IAG being accessed through Internet Explorer and Firefox.

We are using third party web application.

I was wondering is there a way where that application can authenticate against the IAG Server.

We pass authentication details to third party app and that application inturn communicates and authenticates with the IAG server.

Does IAG supports an application as a client ?

    Best Regards,

  • Sure, its all in the details of the application and how its written.   For example you could certainly do the reverse as well.  When browser connects to iag, the iag (in its asp validate code) could emulate a browser post the credentials to a webserver, and based on teh response, either fail iag authentication or succeed and write some of the web applications session cookies back to the user.   No reason a web application couldn;t use similar logic.
