UAC Custom Text Option for User Elevation RRS feed

  • Question

  • I appologize in advance if this is not the proper forum for a feature reqeust.

In my environment, 99.9% of all of our supported users are not administrators on their machines.  Despite our supported users knowing that they are not administrators, we continue to hear about it when we receive support requests.  YES, we know you're not an admin, this is by design to protect you (and our assets) from, well...  YOU!

I would absolutely love if the IT communitiy had the ability to add some custom text to the UAC elevation prompt via GPO.  Then, when users attempt to do something requiring elevation, the prompt/notice can include a line or two of our custom text.

    Thanks!

No forum is really appropriate for a feature request.

This isn't Microsoft you're addressing here. This is a peer support
forum. We are all just users of this version of Windows here, helping
each other if and when we can. We are not Microsoft employees (not
even those of us with "Microsoft MVP" behind our names; that's an
honorary title for having provided consistently helpful advice) except
    for an occasional employee.
