  • Hello Friends,

     I would like to create ASP.NET MVC application for commercial purpose. I read that ASP.NET MVC is open source so i can use it for commercial purpose. Hence, I do not need to buy licence for it. But what about IDE ??? Is there any light version of Visual Studio (with no cost) through which i can build application or any other IDE ??

    I want to use freeware IDE for building ASP.NET MVC application for commercial purpose.

    Please help. Thank you in advance.

  • Sorry for the slow response here.  In case you haven't yet found a solution, the closest you'll come is using Visual Studio Community edition.  Here are the licensing terms.  If you're completely doing open source work, then you're good to go.
