issue with encrypted cache of offline files

    Question

  • Hello,

since yesterday we have problems with computers where the offline files are enabled and the cache is encrypted.

Users cannot save files the message access is denied is coming up.

It's possible to create a file, which has then 0 bytes and when opening the file the same message is coming up.

If we do not encrypt the offline cache via GPO, everything runs normally again.

This setup worked now for several years without problems.

    Any Patchday issue?

    Best regards,

    Juergen

  • Hi.

It's not a problem off the offline cache. The problem is a expired recovery agent certificate.

So I have to issue a new one.

  • Hi,

Did all users meet this issue?

Is there any event created in Event Viewer?

Did you try to synchronize offline files?

If no, please try to synchronize offline files, and see if there are any messages in Sync Center (Type sync center in search box, then click it form result).
