Using Flags to Change Gantt Chart Summary Appearance RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been unable to change the look of tasks using Flags and a formula in text field.

I've not been able to do the same with summary tasks.

    Any suggestions?

Well, maybe you could tell us what you have tried that does not work.  For example, what did you do with Flag fields?  And what did you do with a formula in a Text field?  And what exactly are you trying to do with the look of tasks?  Otherwise, we are all just guessing at your problem and how to solve it.  Let us know and we will try to help.

  • Ili, as Dale says, we're pretty powerless to help without some more information.

One thing you might like to check is that when you specify bar formats for the Gantt Chart based on calculated flag fields, make sure the selection for the bar style is unique. If one bar style selection (A) includes "Flag 16, Flag 17" - and another one (B) includes just "Flag 16", depending on the sequence in which they're defined you will find that (A) never gets displayed. To be rigorous, (B) should be defined as "Flag 16, not Flat 17".
