What version of SCOM is running.

Please check if the old version of instruction will work:

You can also refer to the following thread:

  • Hi,

I have check the two Links, but there explain only how to use build in Performaqnce counter. The Discover Windows Physical Disks Discovery have no Counter for Disktime. Is it possible to create my own Object Discoveries? I can't find a Wizard or anything else.

  • The Server how I collect the Performance Counter ist a x64 2003 R2 Server.  So a x32 SCOM collect Performance Data from a x64 Machine. Can this resolve in trouble?

  • Assuming there is no misspelling (remember this - collected names are not the perf counter display names.  You must specify the technical name (non localized) of the counter to correctly collect it.  The SCOM agent does not see the counter names in german, so when you create your rule, you need to give the MP the english name of the counter.  Try "logical disk % time".

Also, for some counters considered "new" There is a bug in Server 2008 that makes this happen.  Server 2008 SP2 fixes it.
