How do I remove "Owner" and "Computer" identification details from Word document Properties > Details tab? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I have Microsoft Office 2007 on Windows 7, SP1.

    I want to sometimes be able to upload Word documents (containing just normal information) to the Internet without having to disclose my identity in the document properties.

    All Word documents on my computer contain my name in the Word document Properties > Details tab, where at the bottom of this tab it has my name for the "Owner" and "Computer" items.

    How therefore do I remove my identity from those items from: a saved document?

    How also do I therefore prevent my identity being inserted into those items while preparing a new document?

    (By the way the "Document Inspector" does not seem to remove information from these two items.)

    Please do not explain how to remove or hide information unless your advice includes removal of the specific items about which I have asked.
