Is it "fine" to install AD FS on a Domain Controller running Windows Server 2016? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I am sorry if this question was already posted somewhere else, but I can't find it so here it goes:

I am running a Windows Server 2016 as a Domain Controller and I was wondering, knowing that after Server 2012R2, AD FS does not seem to require IIS apart from creating the SSL certificate, thus I was wondering if it was a "Best Practice" to install it locally and closed from the internet?

    Thank you!
