stsadm Imports fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am having problem wiith root site which does not show user stamp to everybody exvept site collection owner.

I was able to correct the issue for all the subsites when I took them out of root to their own site collections by backup/ restore.

Backup/ restore does not work for the Root. Export finishes with no error, but the same exported file generates 2 errors and 1 warning during import.

I have removed all subsites and unused user lists.

I performed the import command with these changes in hope of get ride of the errors. but the error still exist and import did not fixes the user stamp error:

Try one: with security and version option 2.

Try two: with no security and version option 2

Try three: with no security and version option 1.

second round: exported with no security and performed import with version 1.

Here is the error in the import log from the last try:

  • Hi Sara,

Header.xsl contains templates that define how to display a header and ensure the consistency of group header.

I think the problem is there are some mistakes in Header.xsl file. It maybe meet some error when deploy the file back to the server in the import process.

So please find another machine with no modified version of Header.xsl file, and copy it to the server to have a try. Please do a copy of your current version of Header.xsl file.

    Hope it could help.

    Best regards. Emir

  • just quick thought, do you have same level of features on the both side (One from where you export it and to where you importing), make sure you have same features enabled and same version level. Also try to run under the admin account.

    hope this help
