FIM portal sends email to wrong recepient RRS feed

  • We have got account objects for differnt system in our organization in FIM portal. Each of these account object has a system manager.

    Whenever a new account is created a mail is triggered to system manager. We  have a workflow for this activity.

    The issues is that FIM portal is sending emails to incorrect recipients. The mail is send out to system manger of other system.

    My one guess is that when a new user is created; it also creates around 5 to 6 accounts. So aroung 5-6 emails are sent out using the same MPR/workflow. Could this be the reason?

  • I think that is the reason.

    Are emails going to all the people, including the right recipient, or just the wrong one?

    Is this WF sending emails to a DL, or a computed recipient?

    It seems to me you have a DL for system owners and all get the email no matter what?  In that case you need to streamline the WF to account for the system owner of your case.

  • There is no DL. Each account has a particular system manager.

    Most of the times mails go to correct recipients; only sometimes the mails are sent to wrong system manager.

    "Each account has a particular system manager. " - Means what?

    Can you maybe provide with the details of the workflow and MPR that are sending these emails
