help Disable StickyKeys via registry edit RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have tried to disable StickyKeys by editing the registry.

I have changed HKCU/control Panel/Accessibility/StickyKeys/Flags to different values.  I have tried 506, 27, 26, and some others I found from Google searches.  My problem is that after making the change, StickyKeys is still working.  If I open the control panel, accessibility and disable StickyKeys by unchecking the box in settings and then press apply, they are dead.  When I look back at registry flags are set to 506.  When I re-enable them and try to manually set Flags to 506 nothing happens.

I need to set it manually so I can push out a logon script to our students that will disable StickyKeys so teachers will get off my back about the clicking noise in their classrooms.

Thanks for any help you can offer.  Here is the current registry setting I am using that is not working.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys]
