  • Question

  • On my new Acer Aspire 5541 the pointer initiates action without a clik. How can I change this to act only after I have confiremed with a click?

  • Type mouse into the Start search box and open the Mouse control panel.  The Device Settings tab of this sheet will typically allow you to configure your touchpad settings, including the 'tap to click' function (which can sometimes mistake part of your palm as a click even if you weren't tapping).

I've seen this to be a much more pronounced issue on multi-touch aware touchpads, used on many of Acer's netbooks.  It drove me nuts to the fact that I probably will never purchase one with that sort of touchpad.
