MBAM in Azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, Guys.

Is MBAM server fully supported in Azure? We have an existing MBAM server v1 hosted on Windows 2008 R2 server in an on prem which was already moved to Azure. We plan to upgrade the MBAM server though to version 2.5 SP1 on a new Windows 2016 server in Azure. SQL is in 2008 and should be upgraded as well.

Would there be any restrictions in doing such plan, if there is any? Is the plan feasible? Would there be any impacts on MBAM clients, etc?

  • Hi, Guys.

We have an MBAM server version1 hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 with an SQL Server on 2008 R2 as well. This server was moved to Azure. Given that the MBAM server is already in Azure, we also plan to upgrade it to MBAM 2.5 SP1 hosted on new Windows Server 2016. Its SQL server should be upgraded to latest version as well.

The reason for the upgrade is to address Windows 10 compatibility issues with earlier version of MBAM.

I need to know if MBAM server is fully supported in Azure. If so, please provide artefacts and effort estimate to complete the said upgrade.
