Cant create new email address policy

    Question

  • In Exchange Admin Center, I have added a new domain into the accepted domains tab.  When I try to add that to an existing policy, or create a new policy with the newly accepted domian, the email addres format comes up blank and I cant move forward.  I tried creating a policy with some of our pre-existing domains and they wont show up as well.  Im not sure what to do.  Ill provided screen shots if I can to hopefully help explain more.

  • 1) Log into EAC

    2) Mail Flow -> Email address policies

    3) New Policy

    - Give policy name

    - Add email address format

---Select the accepted domain I want to use and the format

    -Click save

Now where it should show the SMTP information I just entered above, is now blank.  It shows nothing when it should show @domain.com.  Ive tried all of our accepted domains available and it does that on everyone.  I dont know why its not letting me add anything

  • You have Exchange 2013?  What cumulative update?

What exactly are you entering?  Tell us everything you enter and exactly what you click.

    Consider trying using New-EmailAddressPolicy.

  • Hi,

You can run the command : Get-EmailAddressPolicy to check if this policy was crated successfully.

It’s recommended to check if any errors or warnings in Application log.

    Hope it helps.

  •  Exchange 2013 version 15.  I will try the command and see if that yields any different results.

Im waiting for my account to verify so i can attach screen shots because I dont think Im doing a good job of accurately describing  what is happening
