AD RMS - Office 365 Messaging Encryption RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to know if we could use AD RMS at on-premises having exchange servers (rather using Windows Azure ADRMS services) to leverage Office 365 Messaging encryption. Yes of course we will configure mail flow through EOP.

  • Hi jagat,

You can enable your Azure RMS and use your on-premise Exchange/SharePoint/File Servers to utilize Azure RMS, if that's what you're looking for. You need to install Microsoft Rights Management (RMS) connector software on-prem (which acts as a 'rms proxy') and configure it to proxy (connect) your servers to your O365/AzureAD tenant. • If you have your mailflow going through EOP, yes, you can use OME without issue by enabling the AIP license and performing the following process: https://acbrownit.com/2018/05/25/enabling-message-encryption-in-office-365/
