Server 2008 R2 Datacenter HyperV capabilities with Server 2016 or Server 2012 R2

    Question

  • I was wondering if you can create and manage Server 2016 or Server 2012 R2 as a virtual machine inside of Server 2008 R2 Datacenter?

We are still using Server 2008 R2 Datacenter at my company and my manager asked me if I could figure out if we can run one of the newer server softwares inside of the HyperV manager in 2008 R2 Datacenter.  Thanks for any help.
