bright pixel on the upper left corner of the screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When I’m disabling windows transparency (transparent glass) a bright pixel appears on the upper left corner of the screen.

Is there a way to get rid of it , a fix in SP1 maybe? (I’m using windows 7 without SP1)

How can I change its color to black so that in time my LCD will not develop a stuck /dead pixel?

    Best regards

  • Hi,

You may check it under Safe Mode. This can eliminate the cause of 3rd party software.

Also, you may try to update the display card driver to the latest version for a test.

  • Sounds like you've got a faulty monitor.

  • Nope, It’s not the case, in any other full screen app or other OS pixel disappears. Please see reference here http://www.sevenforums.com/513970-post27.html explained by somebody else or … maybe an older issue from MS regarding Active Desktop here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177849
