Project Server 2013 Refresh - Recalculate Task Custom Field value RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a task level Custom Field (CF), I have a formula that checks if a value exists then set it as the CF value else set to a literal string "No Value". I submitted a new project that had two tasks one with a value and one without and the output is correct.

    Formula: IIf(ProjDateValue([Baseline Start]) = ProjDateValue("NA"), "No Value", CStr([Baseline Start]))

I went back to the CF formula updated the literal to "No Value New", checked out the project by project professioanl published the project and checked it in, but the CF still has the old literal value.

what should I do to force PS refresh/recalculate the CF's value?

Note: I check the CF's Value from a Project Level View.

  • Hello,

Try to edit both tasks just clicking on them.

Then try to hit F9 to recalculate the project.

Check first in the project at task level if it's working, then publish the project, ensuring the job has been successfully processed. Finally check the project CF (I guess it is a project CF with a formula reading the task CF) from the project level view.

    Hope this helps.
