Unable to browse to some of my workstations. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have around 1500 workstation on my network across a wide range of subnets but in the end they can all talk to each other. I have been pushing out a agent to these machines but around 250 of them fails. The error is that the agent server can't communicate with these workstations.

If I browse the C$ share on these workstations it fails, but they are def on the network and working fine.

Anything that I can look at perhaps? The Firewall is disabled on all of them and its the same SOE across the board.

    Thanks

  • Are all these machines, Domain members?

Make sure the Admin shared are not disabled on these machines.

Is the agent server using FQDN or host names to connect?  Can you resolve the machine names?
