  • Question

  • I installed TP3 with the desktop experience and have installed the search service and also outlook and now outlook is telling me that the search service isn't actually installed. Anyone else seen this at all? Thanks!

  • I have tested and cannot repro the issue on a newer build, 10533.

Please test when a newer build is available and update the post if issue is still there.

  • So I installed the session host role, placed the server in install mode through the control panel and then used an office MSI to perform the install and now the message about the search service is gone.

  • Spoke too soon. The warning is back, that the search service isn't installed. I've also gone down to services.msc and restarted the service but that didn't work.
