IE 11 zoom default 125% based on display settings in control panel. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using Windows 7 Enterprise with 2 displays I have my display settings set to increase windows objects and text by 125%.  IE 11 appears to compound this by defaulting to 125% zoom on startup default.  If I set the display control back to 100 the default on IE goes back to 100% as well.  How do I get IE to default to 100 when the display is set for 125% Based on another post I checked IE ZoomFactor in the current user key and found it to be the recommended 100000. and ResetTextSizeOnStartup and ZoomOnStartup are set to 1.  Changes to these does not seem to have an effect.

  • Hi,

    I test the issue and have the same result as yours, the value of ZoomFactor remains 100000. As a workaround, I change the value to Decimal:80000 (or Hexadecimal: 13880) then F5 to refresh the registry, reopen IE, it goes back to 100%, my registry setting as below

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Zoom]
    "ZoomDisabled"=dword:00000000
    "ResetTextSizeOnStartup"=dword:00000000
    "ResetTextSizeOnZoom"=dword:00000001
    "ResetZoomOnStartup"=dword:00000001
    "ResetZoomOnStartup2"=dword:00000000
    "ZoomFactor"=dword:00013880
