Windows 10 -1709 sysprep fail RRS feed

  • Hi

    i installed a new clean installation of windows 10 version 1709.

    i need to do a sysprep with generalize. i tried it but i get an error: "sysprep was not able to validate your windows installation review the log file"

    any ideas how can i solve this?

    Package A278AB0D.MarchofEmpires_2.8.0.10_x86__h6adky7gbf63m should be the reason for Sysprep failure.

    Run the following command to get the exact package name

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUser | Format-List -Property PackageFullName,PackageUserInformation.

    After that, run one of the following command to remove the package or provision package.

    Run Remove-AppxPackage -Package <packagefullname>

    Remove the provisioning by running the following cmdlet:

    Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online -PackageName <packagefullname>

  • thanks! i needed to uninstall many apps for that to work including facebook, minecraft etc. i just right click it and choose "uninstall" now sysprep is working.
