Error: not able to connect to search to retrieve valid settings errors - user has full control


  • I'm migrating to SharePoint 2016 and in my search app I'm getting the following error when I click on [launch query builder] under the Result sources. The ID I'm logged into Central Admin with has full control of the search center app. Any ideas on what else could be causing the error?
