    We have a Lync 2013 environment with 2 SIP trunks and each is paired with its own AudioCodes SBC.  One SIP trunk is at the corporate office.  The other is located at a branch office.  The Lync configuration is set so that if the corporate office SBC fails, calls will be sent across the WAN to the branch office SBC.  I have successfully tested this by powering off the SBC.  If however, I unplug the SIP trunk from the SBC in the corporate office, calls will fail and not be routed to the branch office SBC.  I assume this is because the SBC at corporate is still responding to SIP option requests from the Lync server.  Is there any way to resolve this other than to shut down the corporate SBC when there is a SIP trunk failure?  Should the SBC not be sending a 200 OK response when the SIP trunk is not up?

    This depend on your and provider configuration.

    First you need also a internal trunk for Audiocodes both mediation server to allow calls from AC to the other mediation server for external. The provider should rote the calls to the other sip trunk if the AC is not reachable.

    Not sure if this was the best approach, but it is working.  We were able to have the AudioCodes configured to route calls between the SBCs if a SIP trunk is down.  I would have preferred to have the Lync Server handle, but just couldn't find a way to do so.
