    hi gurus,

    is there a way to reset page number at an specific page via VBA?

    what I mean let's say I have a 200 page document.

    Page 1 - 50, page number will be labelled as roman numerals I - L.

    Page 51 - 150 - page number will be labelled as 1 to 150

    Page 151 - 200 - reset page numbering from 1 to 50

    is there a way to automate this via VBA?

    You don't need vba for this; all you need is two 'next page' Section breaks between the portions where you want to re-set the numbering and to unlink those Sections' headers/footers that are to contain the numbers from the preceding Sections. You can then insert the required Page # field into the header/footer and tell Word to use whatever numbering scheme you want for each Section.

    Yes, this could be automated with vba, but that may not be much use in a multi-Section document or on documents for which the splits are to occur at different points. For a one-off exercise, writing & debugging the code would take longer than doing it manually.
