Toshiba Laptop Battery issue. RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I mouse over the battery icon on task bar it says it's plugged in but not charging.

It has only happened a few times. I took the battery out & put back in, restarted and
it would begin charging all the way to 100%.
Now it's been giving me a steady message for the last 12 hours, says battery is at 97% plugged in- not charging.

Do I just need a new battery? Been 1 1/4 yrs, same battery that came with the laptop.

Thanks Again for any solutions!  Have a great weekend aswell.

  • Battery charging is a hardware function of your laptop and not a Windows 7 function.

If you're having problems with the battery charging, you need to contact Toshiba and have your system checked for a hardware fault!
